Nature of Requirements:
The TIC3 Air Project aims to modernize the current Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) voice, data, and video communication infrastructure and provide additional data link communication infrastructure to enable effective battlespace management and provide increased situational awareness.
These multipurpose capabilities will allow the Air Force the flexibility to respond to a variety of circumstances across a spectrum of activity and conflict including:
• humanitarian assistance • disaster relief • peacekeeping • domestic, joint/combined, and expeditionary missions
The Department of National Defence has an acquisition requirement for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Data Link (DL) Ground Terminal (GT) Streaming Video (SV) Systems to: a. establish a domestic network of fixed Ground Entry Station (GES). The domestic network will include the capability to store and distribute SV; and b. have the capability to support rapid deploying for domestic and international operations. The acquisition will include any required systems engineering efforts for evaluation and testing, and to support a DND site implementation. An In-Service Support component of five years is included.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
