TO DEVELOP FUEL MANAGEMENT PRESCRIPTIONS IN THE CARIBOO CHILCOTIN NATURAL RESOURCE DISTRICT WILLIAMS LAKE AREA

This contract involves the development of three Fuel Management Prescriptions within the Cariboo Chilcotin Natural Resource District near Williams Lake, covering areas in Dog Creek, Esler, and Dugan Lake. The treatment sites vary in size from 12 to 65 hectares and are situated in the Interior Douglas-Fir (Dry Cool) Biogeoclimatic Subzone. These locations were identified through wildfire risk reduction plans and fuel treatment opportunity mappings, with the Dugan Lake site located in a primary fuel break recently harvested by BC Timber Sales. The fuel management prescriptions must be designed to aid fire suppression efforts by being strategically anchored, accessible, and defensible, following the current guidelines outlined in the Fuel Management Prescription Template.
