To Provide Additional Long-Term Care Nursing Facility Capacity in SD

The South Dakota Department of Health, Division of Licensure and Accreditation, is soliciting proposals from long-term care providers to increase nursing facility capacity statewide. Under this solicitation, there are 991 nursing facility beds available for reallocation to meet the needs of South Dakota residents. The initiative emphasizes the delivery of services in the most integrated settings appropriate for persons with disabilities and older citizens, and the department strongly encourages providers to expand their capacity for home and community-based services.
