Tokyo Central Specialty Market (ENV-2024-6639-CE)

The City of Los Angeles has issued a Director's Determination granting a Community Design Overlay Plan Approval for the Tokyo Central Specialty Market located in the Little Tokyo CDO. This approval authorizes the removal of 39 existing wall signs and the installation of 40 new signs across the street-facing facade and interior courtyard of a three-story commercial shopping center. The new signage totals approximately 321.10 square feet and consists of one non-illuminated sign, two illuminated signs, three non-illuminated door headers, and 34 vinyl decal stickers, all featuring the Tokyo Central Specialty Market branding. The project is managed by the City of Los Angeles with coordination involving applicant Minami Arai and representative Eric Newman.
