The contract entails a detailed Structural Condition Assessment of the building envelope for the Town Hall, focusing on identifying and documenting the current state, code and regulatory deficiencies, and any operational shortcomings. The consultant is required to conduct thorough reviews and inspections, including any necessary tests—both destructive and non-destructive—to determine the extent of deterioration since previous assessments completed in 2023 and 2025. Following the evaluation, the consultant must provide a prescribed scope of work to address all identified deficiencies, accompanied by a Class D Cost Estimate for the required repairs. This assessment incorporates the existing reports from 2023 and 2025, which will be supplied to the selected proponent to inform their evaluation of further deterioration. The successful consultant may also be invited to provide additional services under written agreement. The submission deadline for proposals is February 5, 2026, and interested parties should consult the Nova Scotia Procurement Portal for updated tender documents and addenda. Registration or fees may be necessary to access or respond to the tender through third-party hosting platforms. The contracting authority for this solicitation is Curtis Bell, representing the Town of Lunenburg.
