The Town of Okotoks (the “Town”) is seeking Proposals from qualified contractors to execute deep utility and surface corridor upgrades along Riverside Drive and South Railway Street. The project will be undertaken in two phases, with Phase 1 scheduled for completion in 2026 and Phase 2 in 2027. Phase 1 consists of sanitary upsizing improvements extending from Northridge Drive to just east of Veterans Way. In addition, enhanced surface upgrades are required from the library to the eastern boundary of Phase 1. These enhancements involve construction of new parking lanes, installation of a traffic circle at Veterans Way, and an at-grade pedestrian crossing over the CPKC tracks. Minor surface upgrades along Daggett Street will also be performed to increase available parking. Throughout Phase 1, the contractor is expected to support the design team (referred to as “Design Assist”) as the scope of Phase 2 advances from preliminary to detailed design. Phase 2 encompasses underground and surface improvements necessary to realign South Railway Street in anticipation of the River’s Edge Development.
