Township-owned Surplus Lands for Sale and Development

Loyalist Township is issuing this **Request for Expression of Interest (RFEI)** to identify qualified parties interested in and capable of providing preliminary responses to the questions enclosed herein regarding the potential acquisition and development of Township-owned Surplus Lands as described in this RFEI.The RFEI intends to gauge interest from developers to potentially acquire a portion of surplus land along Church Street in Bath, which the Township intends to sell. As the Township has commenced a rezoning study for the land parcel, the RFEI seeks responses regarding fair market value as well as potential development concepts to further inform the zoning and servicing needs for the land. Following the evaluation of submissions received in response to this RFEI, the Township may establish a shortlist of respondents deemed qualified to proceed to a subsequent procurement stage, including but not limited to a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Township reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify the procurement process, invite additional proponents, cancel the process, or take any other action permitted under its Procurement By-law and applicable legislation.The Township has not made a final decision regarding the disposition of the lands. This RFEI is intended solely to obtain information from the marketplace to assist the Township in evaluating future development opportunities, land use planning, servicing requirements and potential future procurement options.Any information provided by respondents regarding the potential fair market value of the lands is requested solely for planning and information purposes. Such information will not constitute an offer to purchase, an appraisal, or establish any expectation regarding future negotiations or the eventual purchase price.
