Clark Construction has been contracted for a core-and-shell development of a two-story cargo building (Building 626.1) at the airport to replace aging cargo facilities. The project includes a cargo warehouse spanning two floors with 28 truck docks plus provisions for 7 future docks, office space featuring light wells and two handicap-accessible parking stalls, and enhanced sidewalk and landscaping elements. The warehouse exterior will be primarily insulated metal panels with glass and translucent polycarbonate, while the office facade will consist mainly of glass and metal panels. The building will be equipped with two elevators, and preparatory work includes demolition of an existing building (624) and relocation of infrastructure such as a vault and pad-mounted equipment. This cargo building is part of a broader redevelopment of the West Field Area, aimed at creating a consolidated office campus and cargo district at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Trade Package No. TP-0027 covers the supply, furnishing, and installation of all overhead doors and loading dock equipment for the project. This package is open for bidding until March 20, 2026, with no Local Business Enterprise (LBE) participation requirement. The primary trade involved is overhead door installation. Key contacts for this package include Nicolette Madonna from Clark Construction and Tiffany Gonzalez-Ruiz from SFO procurement. The project involves coordination with multiple disciplines and serves as a critical component of the airport’s larger cargo and office expansion efforts.
