Walsh Construction Co. II, LLC has been contracted to design and build the Recycled Water Systems Project, which involves creating an Advanced Water Treatment Plant (AWTP) capable of meeting Title 22 standards and removing PFAS from effluent. The project includes constructing a 250,000-gallon storage tank, pump station, and approximately three miles of pipeline to connect with airport facilities. Upgrades to three existing Sequence Batch Reactors (SBR) and the addition of a new SBR are also part of the scope to ensure permit compliance. This is a progressive Design-Build effort, with work authorized incrementally by the airport, aiming to complete design, construction, permitting, activation, commissioning, and project closeout. A specific trade package, TP-4017, focuses on Build Out and Interior Finishes, encompassing tasks such as interior painting, signage, locker room furnishings, joint sealant and fire stopping, casework, drywall, acoustic ceilings, metal framing, fire extinguisher installation, tiling, and window treatments. The bid deadline for this package is July 2, 2025, and pre-qualification is required for interested subcontractors, with Walsh seeking firms that meet the specified criteria to participate. The project emphasizes a 15% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation goal, and interested vendors are encouraged to contact Walsh for pre-qualification details via email. The overall contract is valued between $50 million and $150 million, with the project located in California and managed through SFO Construction.
