The Air Force Flight Test Center is seeking an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract to provide advanced training and certification in Radar Systems and Electro-Optical and Infra-Red (EO/IR) theory and technology. This initiative aims to rapidly bridge technical knowledge gaps for new engineering staff at Edwards Air Force Base, moving away from ad hoc on-the-job training toward a structured professional development program. The contract features a five year period of performance and focuses on providing industry-recognized credentials to enhance the operational capabilities of the workforce. To achieve certification in either field, students must complete a minimum of 150 hours of instruction consisting of core and elective courses. The Radar program covers topics such as Phased Array and Pulse Doppler Radar, while the EO/IR program focuses on infrared technology, countermeasures, and military laser applications. Both programs require students to pass tests to demonstrate proficiency, and the overall effectiveness of the training will be measured through 100 percent student survey evaluations.
