All work under this BPA will occur in Mongolia.  The U.S. Embassy will not incur travel costs for intepreters not resident in Mongolia.  All interpretation must occur in the country of Mongolia and cannot be conducted via electronic means outside of Mongolia. 



The American Embassy Ulaanbaatar intends to establish a BPA agreement for the translation and on-demand interpretation services. If you are interested, we invite you to submit a quotation to establish a BPA which will serve as a simplified method to meet recurring needs for translation and interpretation on an as-needed basis.


Enclosed is a RFQ to establish a BPA agreement for the translation and on-demand interpretation services. If you are interested to submit a proposal, read the RFQ thoroughly and follow the instructions in Section 1 & 3 of the solicitation.


Issuance of this RFQ does not constitute a commitment by the Government to award a BPA or any call order, nor does it commit the Government to pay any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of quotations.


The Contractor shall provide professional interpretation services at a fixed rate, translation into English, or to translation from English. It’s included but not limited to:
oConsecutive interpretation
oSimultaneous interpretation
oWritten translation


Your quote must be submitted electronically to Ulaanbaatar-Procurement@state.gov It is important to make sure the submission is made in specific size and format; in MS-Word 2007/2010 or MS-Excel 2007/2010 or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file format. The file size must not exceed 30MB. If the file size should exceed 30MB, the submission must be made in separate files and attached to separate emails with less than 30MB each.
