These components are designated as Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Critical Safety Items (CSI) used in crucial shipboard systems for aircraft launch and recovery. The contract emphasizes rigorous inspection and testing protocols, including mandatory First Article Testing (FAT) and 100% inspection of critical and major characteristics.
