Full Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBPS) originally posted its intent to contract with Trijicon, Inc. for 2,785 Each HD Night Sights with Orange Front Outline and 2,785 Each HD Night Sights with Yellow Front Outline for the H&K P2000. The statutory authority for use of other than full and open competition for this transaction is 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements this is due to need for compatibility within CBP. See attached J&A for further information. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals/quotations and no formal solicitation package is available. No award will be made on the basis of any proposal/quotation or other information received in response to this notice and this is a notification of intent to acquire supplies/services and not a request for proposals. The original posted Justification and Authorization (J&A) has been revised and a redacted copy of the revised J&A is attached to this posting.
