These transceivers are critical for enabling real-time, full-duplex wireless communication between aircrew and medical personnel in environments where standard aircraft communication ports are unavailable. The requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 334220, with a brand-name justification citing that TruLink is the only authorized brand per the Medical Equipment Compendium and AFMAN 11-2AEV3. The transceivers must meet rigorous technical specifications, including a 2.4 GHz frequency, a line-of-sight range of up to 2,500 feet, and an operating time of 8 hours. They must comply with several military standards, including MIL-STD-810F for environmental testing, MIL-STD-704A for aircraft electric power, and be HERO approved for electromagnetic radiation hazards.
