NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT This requirement is for: Department of National Defence (DND). This requirement is open only to those Supply Arrangement Holders under E60ZT-18TSPS who qualified under Tier 1 ($0 - $3.75M) under the stated consultant category and level of expertise for the following category: Stream 5. Technical Engineering and Maintenance Services. One (1) resource in the following Stream: One (1) Life Cycle Management Specialist (LCMS) - Senior The duration of the Contract is for three (3) years (01 October 2024 to 30 September 2027), plus two (2) option periods of one (1) year. This procurement is conditionally set aside under the federal government Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business. In order to be considered, the Bidder must certify that it qualifies as an Indigenous business as defined under PSIB and that it will comply with all requirements of PSIB. If bids from two (2) or more Indigenous businesses are compliant with the terms of the Request for Proposal, the contracting authority will limit the competition to those Indigenous businesses and will not consider bids from any non-Indigenous businesses that may have been submitted. For more information on Indigenous business requirements of the Set-aside Program for Indigenous Business, refer to Annex 9.4 of the Supply Manual. Description of the Requirement: This bid solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement of the Department of National Defence (DND) [the "Client'] for the provision of Task and Solutions Professional Services. This requirement is for the provision of one (1) Senior Life Cycle Management Specialist (LCMS) in Support of Hazardous Materials Program Management. Hazardous Materials are embedded in Director General Maritime Equipment Program Management (DGMEPM) activities and shipboard equipment. Effective management of hazardous materials ensures safety of personnel, environmental compliance, and effective reduction of hazardous materials. DND is responsible for responding to inquiries from Environment and Climate Change Canada on usage of certain substances that are likely to be regulated; a system of identifying hazmat and its usage within DGMEPM and units is required to enable response to such inquiries. Location of Work: This requirement's location is remote offsite.
