AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE7M4-27-T-1925 is a small business set-aside issued by the DLA Weapons Support Fluid Handling Division for the procurement of 168 metal tube assemblies (NSN 4710-00-657-5140) for use in KC-135 aircraft. This is designated as a critical application item and must be manufactured according to specific technical drawings and the TDP Rev A Gen 1. The contract includes several critical material substitutions, such as using SAE AS5131 in lieu of MS33660 and NAS847 in lieu of MIL-C-5501. Notably, IUID marking is not required, and the use of additive manufacturing is prohibited unless specifically authorized. The delivery requirement is 147 days after receipt of order, with a need ship date of April 6, 2027, and a final delivery date of May 30, 2027, shipped FOB Origin to DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma at Tinker AFB. Inspection and acceptance will occur at the origin, requiring the manufacturer's quality system to comply with SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001. Due to the nature of the technical data, eligible offerors must possess an approved JCP certification and DLA authorization to access export-controlled information. The procurement is subject to various federal regulations, including the Buy American Act, CMMC Level 2 certification, and the prohibition of Class I ozone-depleting chemicals. All quotes must be submitted via the DIBBS portal by November 9, 2026.
