AI Contract Overview
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Across International for one Tube Furnace, part number TF1800.80, with a maximum temperature of 1800°C and an 80x1000mm alumina tube certified by UL. This procurement is justified on the basis that Across International is the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of this specific unit, which uniquely integrates the furnace chamber, heating elements, insulation, cooling system, controller, and power supply into a single compact design that fits the limited laboratory space and maintains compatibility with existing material processing equipment. The unit is copyrighted by the manufacturer, making it the only available option that meets technical and operational requirements without compromising quality, accuracy, or reliability. This notice is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, and no RFQ will be issued; however, interested parties may submit a capability statement by June 29, 2026, at 3 PM PST to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the requirement. Responses must reference solicitation number N68936-26-SIMACQ-D555000-0031 and be sent to Christine Beltramo at christine.r.beltramo.civ@us.navy.mil. All potential offerors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and certified through the Defense Logistics Information Services to handle Controlled Unclassified Information. Entities must also submit an original, signed, notarized letter identifying their authorized Entity Administrator, and SAM registrations must remain active at the time of award. Failure to comply with these requirements will preclude contract award.
