The contract specifies the procurement of welded rectangular metallic steel tubing measuring 4.0 inches by 2.0 inches with a 0.25-inch wall thickness and random lengths of 16.0 feet to 22.0 feet, manufactured to Grade B and compliant with ASTM A500/A500M Revision NR dated January 1, 2021. The material must meet all technical and quality requirements referenced in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with certification documentation such as CDRL-METALSCERT required and governed by Revision D dated December 4, 2025. Each tube must be continuously marked every three feet with the producer’s name and trademark, specification, composition and temper, size, contract number, national stock number, weld designation “W,” and heat or lot number; if the material is cut or repackaged, the subsequent processor’s identification must also be included. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-129 and ASTM D3951, with precedence given to DLA packaging requirements, and all items must be palletized in accordance with RP001. The item is classified as a critical application and strictly prohibited from containing Class I ozone-depleting chemicals. The total quantity is 1,137 feet, to be delivered FOB origin within 305 days of contract award, with a 10% variance allowed in quantity. Inspection and acceptance occur at destination, and the supply is subject to specific transportation guidelines outlined in DLAD Proc Notes C19 and C20. Delivery is directed to the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with a required ship date of June 9, 2027, and original delivery due by June 15, 2027.
