Two Cremators and Installation Works for Vinters Park Crematorium

Maidstone Borough Council is seeking a provider for the procurement and installation of two cremators at Vinters Park Crematorium, which includes the removal of existing equipment and the provision of a comprehensive maintenance package. The estimated total value of the contract is 3,600,000 GBP excluding VAT, or 4,320,000 GBP including VAT. The project is categorized under services and works, with a particular openness to small and medium-sized enterprises as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises. The contract is scheduled to run from January 4, 2027, to January 3, 2032, with a primary five-year maintenance term following the installation. There is an option for extended support for up to ten additional years through reducing blocks of 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 year, potentially extending the total duration to January 3, 2042. Award decisions will be based on an equal weighting of 50 percent for cost and 50 percent for quality.
