The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is seeking a consulting firm (vendor) that can provide technical assistance to the 7 finalists that have reached Stage 3 of the Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Challenge. This Challenge is seeking multiple models that can address the unique barriers and determinants of health that communities in Canada face that ultimately lead to an increased risk to develop Type 2 Diabetes. PHAC committed to provide innovators technical assistance/non-financial support to help them navigate the various stages of the Challenge and addressing potential complex environments consisting of implementing new innovative approaches/interventions which involves activities that address multiple barriers and risks for community members; coordinating multiple partners/actors and end user engagement; and demonstrating results of their novel approaches. The vendor will need to understand the needs of the group of innovators (7 finalists) and work to develop and deliver an approach/methods responding to the needs of technical assistance/non-financial support of the cohort of the Stage 3 finalists.
