The Army Contracting Command, National Capitol Region Contracting Center, on behalf of the Office of the Judge Advocate General (OTJAG) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), quote mark Soliciting from a single source quote mark . For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This sole source award will be made to Ms. Amy Almquist. The award will provide for a four (4) day training seminar scheduled for FY 2013. Training is accomplished through a hypothetical sexual assault case scenario implementing role-playing exercises, small group discussions, mini-lectures, and faculty demonstrations. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of four (4) days commencing on 28 May 2013 and ending on 1 June 2013. The NAICS code for this requirement is 611430 with a size standard of $10M. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals.
