Solicitation 6507, posted on July 30, 2009, is an award notice concerning the procurement of standardized uniforms and equipment for the Protective Services/Court Security Division. The scope of work focuses on the production of professional, durable attire, including Class B shirts, trousers, and various accessories such as ties, nameplates, and cravats. The requirements specify a sage grey color palette and a fabric composition of 55 percent Dacron polyester and 45 percent worsted wool for primary garments, with strict performance benchmarks for wash shrinkage and pilling resistance. The procurement includes a detailed itemized list of deliverables, ranging from Gortex jackets and all-weather coats to specific uniform components like belt hangers, duty gloves, and undershirts. Technical specifications are highly prescriptive, covering everything from the use of Waterbury S-type buttons and brass memory lock zippers to precise stitching patterns and garment labeling requirements.
