This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number 1240LS26Q0056 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Snow Removal Services at the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest Supervisor’s Office and Salt Lake Ranger District, including removal from parking lots and walkways, as well as salting/sanding.


This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 561790 Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings The small business size standard is $9.0 Million. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.


Statement of Requirement
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (FS), Intermountain Region, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest (UWNC NF) Supervisor’s Office (SO), and Salt Lake Ranger District (SLRD), have a need for snow removal services, including removal from parking lots, and walkways, as well as salting/sanding. See Attachment 2 – Statement of Work, and Attachment 3 – Schedule of Items.


Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide these services are invited to submit offers in accordance with the requirements stipulated in this solicitation.


The Government intends to award a requirements contract with a five (5) year ordering period from September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2031.


Site Visit – NOT MANDATORY. Vendors are not required to submit any information to attend the site visit, but they will be asked to fill out an attendance sheet (Company Name, Employee Name, Phone Number, and Email Address), which will be posted in the question-and-answer amendment following the site visit.


A site visit is scheduled for August 20, 2026 at 9:30 AM MT. Interested vendors will meet Andrew Baggiano at the UWC NF Supervisor’s Office located at 857 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84095 at the scheduled time.  


A site visit is scheduled for August 20, 2026 at 1:30 PM MT. Interested vendors will meet Justin Hurtt at the UWC NF Salt Lake Ranger District located at 6914 South 3000 East Salt Lake City, UT 84121 North Building at the scheduled time.


Questions shall be submitted via email to arlen.fausett@usda.gov and are due no later than August 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM Mountain Time. This will ensure enough time to respond before the solicitation period ends. Please include the solicitation name and number as the subject line of the email.
