University Health Design Standards

University Health is soliciting proposals under RFQ-226-05-077-SVC from qualified architectural firms to develop a comprehensive, system-wide set of hospital design and construction standards. The project aims to create a unified, evidence-based manual covering architectural, engineering, furniture, finishes, equipment, and signage and wayfinding standards to guide all future capital projects, renovations, and facility upgrades. Key deliverables include a standards manual, CAD and Revit templates, approved product lists, and procurement guidelines. All standards must comply with critical regulatory and accreditation requirements, including FGI, NFPA, ADA, TAS, THHS, and the Joint Commission. The resulting contract will have an initial term of three years with two optional one-year renewal periods, during which pricing must remain firm and fixed. The selected firm may be required to provide transition services for up to 120 days following contract expiration.
