Full Description

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the following: Upgrade and refurbishment of 3 Remote Firing Devices. Refurbishment and equipment upgrade must be completed by the equipment manufacturer. Accordingly, the TSA intends to award a contract to Rothenbuhler Engineering Co., 524 Rhoades Road, Sedro Woolley, WA 98284-2502. This contract will address the requirements for the Office of Security Operations, (OSO) Threat Assessment Division (TAD), Explosives Operations Branch (EOB) and TSS-Es Explosive Handling certification/recertification courses. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
