The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a contract to Danobat Machine Tool Company Inc, 810 Thorndale Ave. Bensenville IL 60106-1138 (Cage Code: 1UN56) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, located at MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for the Upgrade / Retrofit of Danobat Laser Measuring Head System. Market research has determined that Danobat Machine Tool Company Inc. is the only source capable of providing the required equipment as they are the sole designers, developers, and integrators of the Danobat Blade Tip Grinders and related components. The technical data, material, and manufacturing processes required to perform upgrade / retrofit of the system were developed by and are the sole property of Danobat Machine Tool Company Inc. Therefore, the government intends to procure these products on a sole source basis from Danobat Machine Tool Company Inc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
