Urban Design Advice

Blaby District Council has entered into a consultancy agreement with Rob Thompson Urbanism to receive professional advice and support on urban design matters. Acting as the local planning authority, the council engaged the consultant to assist planning officers over an 18 month period. The contract was awarded following a Request for Quotation procurement process conducted in accordance with the councils own procurement rules. The agreement commenced in September 2026 and is scheduled to run until March 13, 2028. The financial terms include a daily rate of 600 pounds plus VAT, resulting in a total contract value of 38,880 pounds including VAT. This engagement ensures the council has specialized urban design expertise to support its planning functions throughout the performance period.
