NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 2. Program Details: 2.1 The Government is performing market research to identify potential sources to procure a Servo Amplifier used in the AN/FRR-95 system. The original identification for the item is: NSN 5996-01-554-9882. Part Number MP-FLX-230/X10B 2.2 The government would like to identify potential contractors who can supply this item and successfully complete this effort for Hill Air Force Base, Utah This does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. 2.3 The government has no technical data for this item. This is a servo amplifier used to drive a set of electric motors that rotate a large dish antenna. This item was commercially manufactured more than ten years ago, by MTS company. Since it was a commonly available, commercial product we are seeking commercial sources that may have inventory or access to these items. New or refurbished units are acceptable. 2.4 To be considered as a potential source for this requirement, a contractor will be required to demonstrate their ability to successfully supply this exact item.
