The United States Air Force issued a sources sought notice to conduct market research for the repair of multiple Unmanned Threat Emitter (UMTE) cameras, identified by several National Stock Numbers and part numbers. The goal is to identify potential vendors capable of performing repairs that meet the AN/TPT-T1 (V) UMTE requirements, with a focus on assessing budget needs and sourcing qualified repair providers. Respondents are requested to provide rough order of magnitude cost estimates covering test, teardown and evaluation, various levels of repair including minor, major, and total rebuild, as well as functional testing and delivery of repair inspection reports and Commercial Asset Visibility data. Functional testing must ensure that repaired items are compatible across all UMTE variants currently in use. This request is purely for information gathering and budgeting purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or contract offer. The government explicitly states that responses will not be used for proposal evaluation or negotiation but will instead be retained for future potential contracting opportunities. Respondents must have appropriate skills and experience, and proprietary information submitted will be handled confidentially. The notice emphasizes that no contract award is guaranteed and that submission costs are borne by the respondents. Interested parties can request detailed engineering data and clarification by contacting the designated point of contact, providing appropriate documentation with their request. The performance location of the repair work is Hill Air Force Base, Utah, and the relevant NAICS code for this requirement is 334220, which covers communications equipment manufacturing.
