ACTIVITY BACKGROUND The U.S. Agency for International Development's Mission to Djibouti (USAID/Djibouti) is in the preliminary stages of designing a new activity, henceforth referred to as - the New Basic Education Activity or simply - the activity, to support Djibouti's efforts to improve inclusive, equitable access to quality basic education. The activity will serve as a follow-on to the current Djibouti Early Grade Reading Activity (DEGRA) described below. The Mission anticipates that the activity will be implemented over a period of up to five years.
