This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) for information systems needs for the United States Agency for International Development's Mission to Southern Africa (USAID/SA) and is in accordance with FAR 15.201(c)(7) and FAR 52.215-3. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ). USAID/Southern Africa is conducting market research as part of its ongoing efforts to stay current. This RFI requests information on capabilities, price, delivery, and other market information in order to: - Assess current availability of sources capable of satisfying our requirement; - Assess current availability of existing commercial items that meet our requirement, or of existing commercial items that could be modified to meet our requirement; - Determine the practices of firms engaged in producing, distributing, and supporting commercial items, such as type of contract, terms for warranties, maintenance and packaging, and marking; and - Understanding whether our requirement can be met by items currently available in the commercial marketplace or by items currently available in the commercial marketplace with modifications.
