Fire Alarm engineering for Lewis County
Solicitation # 2026-RFQ-040
Lewis County is soliciting qualifications under solicitation 2026-RFQ-040 for a professional engineering firm to provide comprehensive design and engineering services for fire alarm systems. The project encompasses several County-owned facilities, including the IT Building, Historic Courthouse, Health Building, and Lewis County Jail. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting on-site evaluations to determine the remaining useful life of existing systems, assessing code compliance with NFPA 72, IBC, and IFC standards, and developing bid-ready construction drawings and technical specifications. All designs must be stamped by a licensed electrical engineer familiar with Washington State fire alarm requirements and must integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure to ensure standardized maintenance and operations. Proposals are due by November 10, 2026, via the OpenGov platform and will be evaluated by a committee of at least three County employees using a points-based system. The evaluation criteria are equally weighted at 20 percent each across four categories: firm qualifications (including NICET certifications and licensed engineer availability), responsiveness and capacity to begin work within 30 days, regulatory compliance and permitting records, and the clarity and detail of blueprint designs. Applicants must provide a statement of qualifications, three public agency references from the last five years, and resumes of key personnel. The contract is administered by Matt Patana, Capital Infrastructure Specialist, based in Chehalis, Washington.

This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor a Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is it a promise to issue either a competitive RFP or a competitive RFQ. This notice does not commit the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to contract for any supply or service and USCG is not currently seeking proposals or quotes - USCG is solely seeking information at this time. USCG will not pay any costs incurred in response to this SSN; all costs associated with responding to this SSN will be solely at the interested party's expense. Contract No. 70Z02321CAC400700 was awarded to Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems (LM-RMS) for the engineering services to support development, integration and sustainment of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to modify the sole source contract to increase the estimated value. The scope/tasking of the engineering services contract has not changed since the contract was awarded. However, the level of activities and performance needed for the development of the Sea Commander Virtualization design has increased due to Common Source Library (CSL) software engineering alignment and information assurance/engineering effort associated with the cyber security requirements for the C4ISR systems. For any subcontract opportunities, please contact Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems at 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Unless USCG finds an alternative or a similiarly capable service, USCG intends to modify this contract to Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems by September 2023. The USCG contracting shop address is: Commandant USCG Headquarters Office of Contract Operations (CG-9127) 2703 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, SE Washington, DC 20593-7828 In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.305(a), the sole-source justification for this contract is attached.

USCG - Response Boat, Small Third Generation (RB-S III)
Solicitation # USCG-RB-S-III-2026
The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to design, build, test, and deliver the Response Boat, Small Third Generation (RB-S III) to replace the aging 29-foot RB-S II fleet. This small business set-aside acquisition involves the procurement of up to 400 boats for the USCG and 100 modified variants for other federal agencies. The contractor will be responsible for providing the vessels, trailers, full logistics and supply support, technical documentation, and configuration management. The RB-S III is intended for diverse missions, including search and rescue, migrant interdiction, and law enforcement. The government intends to award up to four Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts with a ten-year ordering period, consisting of a five-year base and a five-year option. The acquisition follows a two-phase methodology: Phase I involves the award of the IDIQ contracts based on technical and conceptual designs, and Phase II requires each awardee to build a demonstration vessel for an in-water evaluation. Ultimately, one contractor will be selected for the remaining production orders. The contracts will utilize Firm-Fixed-Price and Fixed-Price with Economic Price Adjustment line items. Solicitation is expected by the end of Fiscal Year 2026, with awards anticipated in the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2027.
