USCG Modern Shotgun System Acquisition

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking to replace its outdated shotgun inventory with a modern commercial-off-the-shelf 12-gauge system designed to mirror the manual of arms and ergonomic configuration of the M4 carbine, the service’s primary shoulder-fired weapon. This alignment is intended to streamline training, enhance operator proficiency, and improve operational effectiveness by reducing the cognitive and physical transition between weapons systems. The acquisition will provide a complete, integrated weapon system including all necessary spare parts, maintenance kits, and detailed documentation to ensure long-term sustainment and full compatibility with existing tactical equipment in use across USCG units. The contract will be structured as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a one-year base period and four optional one-year extensions, allowing for flexible and scalable procurement over time. The procurement is fully set aside for small businesses, reflecting a commitment to supporting small business participation in federal defense-related acquisitions.
