Contract Overview
Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The United States Coast Guard Base Los Angeles-Long Beach is soliciting bids for the inspection and repair of a roof seam at USCG Station Morro Bay, California, under a 100% set-aside for certified HUBZone small businesses. The requirement is structured around two contract line item numbers: CLIN 0001 for the initial inspection and repair of a 40-linear-foot leaking seam, and CLIN 0002 as a contingent option for additional repairs to be authorized only if discovered during the initial inspection. The evaluation will follow FAR 52.212-2, assessing offers based on price and past performance, with no formal weights assigned, allowing for a trade-off approach where the most advantageous offer—considering both cost and prior work history—will be selected. The government may include option pricing in overall evaluation but is not obligated to exercise any optional work, and significantly unbalanced option pricing may render an offer unacceptable. All work must be conducted at 1279 Embarcadero, Morro Bay, CA 93442, with site visits scheduled during the week of June 8, 2026. Contractors must comply with OSHA standards, ASTM D3462 for asphalt shingles, and EPA regulations, and must immediately halt work and notify the contracting officer upon encountering asbestos or lead-based paint, as abatement is not authorized under this contract. Delivery and performance of all services are on-site, with final acceptance requiring a joint inspection by USCG personnel. The contractor must submit a comprehensive inspection report, before-and-after photos, permits, a quality control plan, and a final invoice via the Invoice Processing Platform. All personnel must have valid government-issued ID, adhere to established work hours and coordination protocols, and ensure full site restoration. Proposals must be submitted electronically by the June 24, 2026 deadline to the primary point of contact, and only HUBZone-certified small businesses are eligible to respond.
