Use Permit Application No. PLN2021-0087 – Jordao Dairy

Use Permit Application No. PLN2021-0087 authorizes the expansion of the Jordao Dairy facility located at 6025 S. Central Avenue in Turlock, Stanislaus County. Situated on a 79.74 acre parcel within the General Agriculture (A-2-40) zoning district, the project allows for the increase of the mature cow herd size from 1,985 to 3,990 and the construction of three loafing barns totaling approximately 236,000 square feet. The Stanislaus County Planning Commission approved the application on July 16, 2026, following the preparation of a Mitigated Negative Declaration under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The project is conditioned upon the implementation of specific mitigation measures and the adoption of a mitigation reporting and monitoring plan to ensure no significant environmental effects occur. Administrative requirements include the payment of a 3,043.75 dollar environmental document filing fee to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and a 57.00 dollar county documentary handling fee.
