This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
This acquisition IS set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, USMCFP Springfield, intends to issue a solicitation for the supply and installation of:
USMCFP Springfield requires the procurement, removal, and installation of 2 new transformers located in the USMCFP Springfield Institution in Springfield, MO. This is a commercial services requirement involving both materials and labor. The contractor shall remove the existing equipment, supply a new replacement step down, oil filled, pad mounted electrical transformer. This transformer will require no special software or tools to troubleshoot. The new unit(s) must be in accordance with the specifications provided in the Statement of Work. All equipment must meet or exceed the performance characteristics of the existing system. If an “equal” product is proposed, the contractor must submit full technical specifications for Government review and acceptance.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, hardware, and equipment necessary to complete the work. Upon completion, the contractor shall test the Transformer to demonstrate proper operation.
Delivery and performance shall occur at USMCFP Springfield, 1900 W. Sunshine St. Springfield, MO 65807, in accordance with the terms of the solicitation.
The contract type will be Firm-Fixed Price (FFP). The Government reserves the right to award to the responsible vendor(s) whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: Price, Past Performance, Technical Capability.
Registration in SAM: Each offeror must be registered in www.SAM.gov and must complete the necessary representations and certifications in SAM at the time of submitting their quotation.
