This is a sources sought announcement in accordance with RFO FAR 15.101(c) ?Request for Information? and in anticipation of a future procurement. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is conducting market research to determine industry?s capability to provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) direct procurement of one (1) turnkey ALCO Model 251C engine to support USS BOXER (LHD-4). This is in direct support of the upcoming FY27 Selected Restricted Availability (SRA). See Statement of Work (Enclosure (1). SWRMC is especially interested in determining small business capability and interest. SWRMC is contemplating award of a firm fixed price contract for the requirement specified in the attached Statement of Work The applicable NAICS code is 333618 - Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing.What/Where to Submit: Interested companies should submit, on company letterhead, a letter of interest including the name, telephone number, mailing address, and e-mail address of one point of contact. Please scan your letter of interest and email it to Contract Specialists, Mira Brown, at miramaje.c.brown.civ@us.navy.mil, and Kristin Liljestrom, at kristin.j.liljestrom.civ@us.navy.mil, with ?USS BOXER (LHD-4), #2 Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Overhaul Sources Sought Notice? in the subject field and hand or digitally sign your letter of interest. The letter of interest should include a brief description of your company and its ability to provide all the OEM materials no later than the required delivery date of 15 February 2027 or best availability as set forth in Enclosure (1), and answers to the following specific questions. Please limit your response to no more than five (5) pages. Is your company a small or large business as defined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) under NAICS code 333618 (the small business size standard is 1,500 in number of employees)? If small business please specify (small, 8(a), women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned) [more than one category may be selected as applicable]. Are you an authorized distributor of Fairbanks Morse Defense products? Information provided shall be treated as Business Sensitive or Confidential to the responder, exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act. All information shall be provided free of charge to the Government. SWRMC may request further information regarding the capabilities of respondents to meet the requirements set forth in the announcement. This sources sought announcement is released in accordance with RFO FAR 15.101(c) ?Request for Information.? This sources sought announcement is not a request for proposal. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to gather information from the marketplace. Information provided in response to this sources sought announcement will not be considered an offer by the responding contractor and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No telephone inquiries will be accepted and requests for solicitation packages will not be granted, as a solicitation has not been prepared at this time.
