Utility Abandonment and Capping Services

This subcontract for Utility Abandonment and Capping Services supports prime contractors on facility projects for the State of Delaware Office of Management and Budget. The selected provider will be responsible for the disconnection, cutting, and permanent capping of site utilities, which includes locating and marking utilities and ensuring lines are capped outside of designated demolition zones. The contractor must also coordinate directly with utility companies to ensure all work is performed safely and correctly. To be eligible, the contractor must hold a valid licensed utility contractor status. The primary deliverables for this engagement include the successful permanent capping of utility lines and the provision of detailed record maps identifying both capped and active utilities.
