UTV - Utility Task Vehicle

The Indian Health Service (IHS) is issuing a Sources Sought notice to identify Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) capable of supplying a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) for the Lawton Indian Hospital in Oklahoma. This notice is not a solicitation for proposals but rather a market research effort to gauge capability within ISBEEs, emphasizing the Buy Indian Act’s preference for Indian Economic Enterprises whenever practical. The current UTV at the hospital is outdated, incurring high maintenance costs and frequent repairs, prompting the need for a more efficient and cost-effective replacement vehicle capable of traversing varied terrain to facilitate delivery of packages, medical supplies, and equipment across the hospital campus. Interested firms are required to submit detailed capability statements demonstrating their experience and capacity to fulfill this requirement, along with the Buy Indian Act Indian Economic Enterprise Representation Form. Responses should include comprehensive company information such as socioeconomic status, System for Award Management (SAM) registration, DUNS number, CAGE code, tax ID, and contract vehicle details if applicable. Responses, which are voluntary and will not be returned or compensated, must be submitted by May 19, 2026, to designated contract specialists via email. Confidential or proprietary information is not to be included, and the government reserves the right to utilize non-proprietary information supplied. This initiative supports the government’s commitment to prioritizing Indian enterprises in procurement opportunities under authorized negotiation authorities.
