UTV for 42d MSG Command

The 42d Mission Support Group at Maxwell Air Force Base is seeking a single new Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) to enhance operational mobility, emergency response, and mission readiness across the base’s challenging terrain, which includes flood-prone areas, dense vegetation, wooded trails, and extensive perimeter roads. The vehicle must be highly maneuverable, durable, and capable of operating on paved surfaces, gravel, mud, sand, and wet conditions while transporting four personnel with full tactical gear, carrying a minimum of 1,000 pounds of cargo, and towing up to 1,500 pounds. It must feature a heavy-duty corrosion-resistant chassis, independent suspension with at least 10 inches of ground clearance, a roll cage, roof, windshield, hydraulic disc brakes, and an 8-ply or higher all-terrain tire system. Power must come from a minimum 1,000cc gas or diesel engine with a 10-gallon fuel tank, enabling speeds of at least 40 miles per hour under full load. Additional mandated equipment includes a front-mounted 4,500-pound electric winch and a full street-legal kit with blinkers, horn, and reverse light. The vehicle must support 5,000 operational hours before major maintenance and include a standard OEM three-year warranty at no extra cost to the government. All items must be brand new, with no refurbished units permitted, and the contractor must submit full documentation including manuals, warranty details, service procedures, and technical support contacts for acceptance. This procurement is issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 336999, with participation restricted to certified small businesses.
