The Department of Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick has awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement 36C10X26A0004 to Philips North America LLC for enterprise-wide digital telepathology service maintenance support. This agreement provides for preventive and corrective maintenance, system updates, replacement parts, and technical support for proprietary digital pathology scanners, image management systems, and server infrastructure across VA Medical Centers. These services are essential for the VA Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Program Office to maintain system performance, FDA compliance, and operational readiness. The contract was awarded on a sole source basis because the equipment is proprietary to Philips, making the original equipment manufacturer the only provider capable of performing the work without risking system integrity or patient care.
