PUBLIC NOTICEGlovertown, Newfoundland & LabradorThe Government of Canada wishes to acquire a two to six-acre (0.8 to 1.6 hectares) piece of vacant land (with municipal services or the ability for approved well and septic) in the vicinity of the town of Glovertown. Subject lands must be located near Glovertown along the Trans Canada Highway between Exit 25 and Exit 26; or, in Glovertown within the boundary of Station Road along Main Street South to the edge of Terra Nova River.(See attached map.)The site must meet the following criteria:Minimum of 2 acres (0.8 hectares) in size;Be located near Glovertown along the Trans Canada Highway between Exit 25 and Exit 26; or, in Glovertown within the boundary of Station Road along Main Street South to the edge of Terra Nova River;Have arterial road frontage (direct road access or confirmation of ability to obtain access);Preferred to be zoned commercial, institutional or industrial;Preferably be rectangular in shape;Be in close proximity to amenities such as service stations, financial institutions and restaurants.Information provided by the owner, or by the owner’s agent, shall include:A map showing the location of the lands;Site plan;Description of the current zoning;Details of services/utilities;A statement as to the nature of respondent’s rights in the land;A completed Phase I Site Assessment (if available);A completed Property Transfer Assessment Questionnaire.The Government of Canada may request additional information.
