AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force, through the 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of manufacturing new valve assemblies designated by part number 721599D and NSN 4810-01-143-8543JF for the F101 platform. This effort, issued as a Sources Sought Synopsis under Notice ID FD2030-26-02507, is not a solicitation and does not represent a commitment to award a contract or allocate funds; rather, it aims to assess industry capability to determine if the requirement—estimated at 82 units—can be competitively sourced, potentially as a small business set-aside, or if the requirement should be broken out by airframe. Interested vendors must respond by August 14, 2026, through the designated portal and are expected to demonstrate the ability to fully manufacture the component, including procuring materials, conducting inspection and testing, preserving and packaging, managing the supply chain, addressing diminishing manufacturing sources, and handling nonrecurring engineering costs to become an approved source. The North American Industry Classification System code is 336413, with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and the Government actively seeks participation from large and small businesses, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a) firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses. All responses must be submitted via the official workflow email, and no engineering drawings or technical data are being requested at this stage through the provided form.
