A gate valve with a 2.000 inch size and Nitrile gasket material is being procured under NSN 4820-01-536-6190, with a quantity of 263 units. The valve is designed for use in steam, water, air, and oil service up to 250 degrees F, but must be retrofitted with the provided EPR seals for higher temperature applications up to 400 degrees F in steam or water and 300 degrees F in air, with explicit note that EPR seals are unsuitable for oil service. Seat rings require coating per Drawing 803-1385714 Note 4.13. The valve must undergo shock and vibration testing compliant with MIL-STD-167 Type I and specific shock classifications for lightweight equipment, Grade A, Class I, Type A, hull-mounted for surface ships and hull/frame-mounted for submarines, with pipeline mounting and unrestricted orientation. Manufacturing requires a metal casting process with associated tooling, and sourcing inquiries must be directed to the appropriate DLA aviation or land and maritime supply chain teams. Packaging must adhere to DLA standards, and the item includes technical data governed by export controls under ITAR or EAR, prohibiting disclosure to foreign persons without prior authorization. Access to this controlled data is restricted to DLA contractors with approved JCP certification, completed DOD export control training, and prior DLA authorization.
