The Defense Logistics Agency is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify qualified manufacturing and supply sources for a modulating valve, part number 3214072-3, used in the UH-60 Blackhawk weapon system. This effort aims to determine if future acquisitions can be competitive or set aside for small businesses. The proposed NAICS code for this requirement is 336412, with a size standard of 1500 employees. Because the part must be acquired from sources specified on a source control or selected item drawing per DoD-STD-100, the acquisition is currently limited to a small number of responsible sources under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). The government is open to all business types, including various small business designations, provided they meet prequalification requirements. Interested firms are encouraged to seek source approval through the AMCOM website to compete for future solicitations.
