The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, has a requirement to procure various Engine parts (see attached Draft Parts List) to support an estimated 2000 Honda engines, Models BF40, BF90, BF130, BF150, BF200, and BF225. These engines are used on various U.S. Coast Guard platforms which include, but are not limited to, RBS boats, SPC-SW boats and TANB boats and several other non-standard boat classes. In addition to the attached list of parts, the resultant contract will include a requirement to allow ordering of any part found in the American Honda Motor Co. Inc., catalog at a discounted rate. All parts supplied must be genuine American Honda Motor Co. Inc. - no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. All parts shall be preserved, packaged, and marked in accordance with Coast Guard specifications. This sources sought notice is issued for market research purposes only. It is the Government's intent to issue a solicitation for the award of one (1) fixed-price Requirements-type contract consisting of one (1) base year and (4) four option years. The NAICS code is 333618 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1500 (employees). This is not a solicitation and proposals are not being requested at this time. It is the Government's intent to solicit only American Honda Motor Co. Inc. for dealership authority to enable ordering of parts on a wholesale basis. However, other concerns having the capabilities to supply these parts are invited to submit complete information discussing their capabilities within 7 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and /or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements.
