The Army Geospatial Center (AGC), in collaboration with the Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) and supported by the National-Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) Office of Small Business Programs, is hosting an industry day outreach event on December 1, 2016. This event is designed to provide briefings from each AGC directorate on their missions, typical procurements, and potential future projects, alongside NGA-led information sessions. It aims to facilitate networking opportunities between government program managers, agency representatives, and industry participants. The event particularly focuses on small businesses with geospatial capabilities, encouraging them to engage with government officials and larger companies’ Small Business Liaison Officers (SBLO) and business development officers to foster partnerships. Attendance is capped at 200 people, with no more than two attendees per company, including both small and larger businesses, although only 30 slots are available for non-small businesses. The event emphasizes industries related to professional, scientific, and technical services as well as computer and electronic product manufacturing, reflected in the relevant NAICS codes. Small businesses will have the chance to secure limited "Business Showcase" table spots on a first-come, first-served basis for additional exposure. Participants include federal agencies with similar requirements, contingent on approval. The venue is located in Alexandria, Virginia, and prospective attendees can register through the Virginia PTAP website. Deborah Ahn serves as the point of contact for inquiries. This outreach effort represents an important opportunity for businesses specializing in geospatial technology to connect directly with key acquisition personnel from the AGC and NGA.
