*** The original closing date is extended (see attachment with Amendment 0001) to allow the Government additional time to review vendor questions. *** This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The solicitation details (including the technical requirements) will NOT be available until the official solicitation is posted on DIBBS. DLA Aviation Richmond intends to issue a solicitation to procure the following supplies and services: QTY of one (1) Vertical Grinding Machine (including pallet system & tooling). The vendor will be responsible for complete project design, fabrication, a new foundation and installation. Performance will be at the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, NC. The solicitation will be unrestricted, with full and open competition. A complete technical data package will be available when the solicitation opens. The estimated release date for the solicitation is on or about 10/8/13. The anticipated closing date is 11/26/13. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for 10/23/13; the date will be confirmed when the solicitation opens. The anticipated performance period is 320 days ARO. A specialized Quality Assurance Provision will be included. Offers will be evaluated based on a combination of technical compliance, price and past performance. The solicitation will include provision 52.215-9023, Reverse Auction.
