The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a non-competitive firm fixed price purchase order with PCB Piezotronics, Inc. (PCB) for the purchase of accelerometers to meet the requirements of the Very large Test Apparatus (VLTA) experiments for the Ohio Replacement Program (ORP) at the US Navy Large Cavitation Channel (LCC). PCB is uniquely qualified to provide accelerometer models which meet the needed size and hardware requirements based on market research. The PCB models 356A03, 356A32 and 356M196 will fully satisfy the specified requirements. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements received no later than the due date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement that will be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received by email at megan.ault@navy.mil no later than 2:00PM EST, 16 April 2014. A formal solicitation will NOT be issued since this will be a sole source procurement. This announcement constitutes the only notice of this procurement. All contractors and individuals doing business with the Federal Government MUST be registered at the System for Acquisition Management (SAM) database to be considered for award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements can be located via the Internet at www.sam.gov . Responses that are non-compliant with any of these instructions may be rejected without further consideration for award.
