This contract amendment changes the solicitation number from FA8532-15-R-90007 to FA8532-15-Q-90007, and all future notifications will be posted under the revised number. Interested parties must register under the new solicitation number to receive updates. The procurement involves acquiring a vibration analyzer and balancer, specifically designed for troubleshooting and analyzing vibrations in C-130 propellers. This equipment helps determine the correct balance weights and their placement to ensure flight safety and extend equipment lifespan. The base requirement calls for 1 to 8 units, with four option periods allowing for additional purchases at specified intervals, increasing the quantities to between 16 and 18 units over a four-year timeframe. Delivery is expected within 180 days after the award, with option deliveries due 180 days following each option's exercise, and will be shipped to multiple locations to be determined. This acquisition is a sole source contract awarded to Honeywell International Inc., as they hold proprietary rights to the necessary technical data, including the test set, specialized cables, software, and interface kits specific to the C-130 platform. The contract complies with FAR 6.302-1 guidelines indicating that only Honeywell can fulfill the agency's requirements. The procurement is subject to Free Trade Agreements, and while the RFP will not be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities site, interested parties can contact the provided points of contact to request a copy or submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration.
